“Order one in the gardens between the Place de Concorde and Palais du Louvre. That way you can get one of those deck chairs around the fountain and watch the day go by…Ahhh Paris.”
The only ‘Monaco’ I knew was the small principality in the south of France, but a monaco is a drink with a shot of grenadine, part lemonade and two parts beer. The grenadine gives it the red colour.
As a good mate, I followed Peter’s advice to the letter. I asked Aitor if he would like to share a monaco with me, so we headed towards the Jardin des Tuileries which is exactly between the Place de Concorde and Louvre. We ordered one from one of the cafés in the gardens, sat on a deck chair by the fountain and watched the Parisian day go by…then it started raining so we ran for cover!
But Peter was right. You really do get to appreciate the beauty of Paris and just watch the day go by. I would thoroughly recommend drinking one in the gardens just as we did. Peter thanks for the advice mate, this one is dedicated to you!
