It is about time the Dutch banned scooters and mopeds from cycle paths. Cycle paths are for cyclists not motorised vehicles. If councils are concerned about an increase of scooter-related accidents on roads, then they should mandate the wearing of helmets. As I understand it, helmets are only required if the scooter reaches a certain speed. Should be interesting to watch how this unfolds.
